Generally used as a source for electricity, nuclear energy is used to generate vast amounts of power, while generating far less CO₂ and other harmful greenhouse gasses. However, nuclear waste is very toxic and needs to be handled with care. By doing isotope analysis for new nuclear materials and elemental analysis on raw ores contribute to ensure quality and safety.
